Client: Mölnlycke Health Care (Thailand) Ltd.

Client's business sector: Mölnlycke Health Care is one of the world's leading providers of single-use surgical and wound care solutions to the professional health care sector.

Country: Thailand

Challenge: Since September 2004, Mölnlycke Health Care has contracted M&C Energy Group to identify areas in which the potential for energy cost reductions exist.

M&C Energy Group's Strategy: As an international energy consultancy, M&C Energy Group's aim is to reduce costs of utility overheads for customers in the commercial, industrial and public sectors, with a focus on optimization of price and reduction/control of energy consumption. M&C Energy Group's team of experts conducted an energy survey of Mölnlycke Health Care's sites at Bangplee and Amata Nakorn and identified a total of 9 areas in which energy could be reduced to minimise costs, these included:
• Air System improvement
• Chiller and air conditioning optimisation
• Improvements to the air compressor system

Result: To date, M&C Energy Group have implemented 2 recommendations with a further 7 ones to follow. Savings upon completion of all recommendations are estimated at THB 1,225,919 per annum.
